What is fire-rated expanding foam?

Fire-rated expanding foam provides additional fire resistance for fire door frames and walls by expanding and filling in gaps to act as a sealant against fire, smoke and toxic gases.

At FireSealsDirect, our heat-resistant expanding foam is available in gun and nozzle grades. Take a look at our range of fire-rated expanded foam from brands including Blue 60, Nullifire and Bond It.

How does fire-rated expanding foam work?

Fire-rated or fire-resistant expanding foam works by expanding once released from the tube, filling up the gap or penetration, and leaving no gaps for fire and smoke to pass through. It sets hard and then can be cut back to create a smooth, flush finish.

How we can help

Here at FireSealsDirect, We stock the Blue 60 Fire Rated Frame Foam which gives up to 60 minutes of fire protection and is blue in colour for identification purposes. You must use fire-rated packers in conjunction with the foam, to achieve the fire rating for the door set.

We also stock B1 fire-rated expanding foam and Nullifire FF197. Their rapid expansion after dispensing makes them a popular choice for filling and sealing gaps that require a fire-resistant property.
